Natasa Serec

Nataša Serec is a president of an Association KUD Mreža, actively participating in ACC Metelkova mesto's management since the beginning (Autonomous Cultural Zone Metelkova). Nataša has worked in Metelkova Mesto for 15 years and was one of the people who squatted the place in ’93, and has since then been very very involved. Metelkova is an autonomous cultural-social centre in the centre of Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is located on the site of former military barracks (the Slovenian headquarters of the Yugoslav National Army). Among other activities and initiatives, Metelkova includes an art gallery, bars, artists studios, space for designers, offices of cultural organizations and concert stages featuring different types of live music, LGBT support and anti-racist activities. Nataša Serec is a fundraiser and the responsible person for all KUD Mreža programmes and projects. She is also a founder of the Red Dawns Festival and a Trans Europe Halles network delegate.
